Unmastered disaster!

The signs were there on Friday. I nipped home to burn a cd with some software the boss had asked if I had…. and the optical drive just inexplicably stopped working, total TLF. Oh well, with the lunch break running out, a disk went in the other drive, burned succesfully and I was away. When I got home I sat at the computer, begain using it when BEEP!…. the computer restarts. It then procedes to not boot, at least not in a way with windows and menus and such and a black screen with a blinking cursor was what not quite what I was after.. (continue reading…)
Why the BBC shouldn’t report on tech….

I’ve written to the BBC before about a technology article. It was all about security, and populated with buzzwords and jargon, none of which made any sense. It all sounded great, but was clearly written for the which report generation… you know, those same people who use terms like “surfing the web”. Who the fuck says “surfing the web”?? Not anyone with proper IT experience, that’s for sure. And don’t get me started on “Click Online”, the BBC’s feeble and pathetic excuse for a technology show. (continue reading…)
Starcraft 2 = insomnia!

So, I’ve just been awake for nearly two nights running simply because of one thing.
