This has gone horribly wrong!!!

Stuff was supposed to go here!!! There is no longer stuff. Please stay right there while I get new stuff!!!

The signs were there on Friday. I nipped home to burn a cd with some software the boss had asked if I had…. and the optical drive just inexplicably stopped working, total TLF.  Oh well, with the lunch break running out, a disk went in the other drive, burned succesfully and I was away. When I got home I sat at the computer, begain using it when BEEP!…. the computer restarts.  It then procedes to not boot, at least not in a way with windows and menus and such and a black screen with a blinking cursor was what not quite what I was after.. I’ve written to the BBC before about a technology article. It was all about security, and populated with buzzwords and jargon, none of which made any sense. It all sounded great, but was clearly written for the which report generation… you know, those same people who use terms like “surfing the web”. Who the fuck says “surfing the web”?? Not anyone with proper IT experience, that’s for sure.  And don’t get me started on “Click Online”, the BBC’s feeble and pathetic excuse for a technology show. (continue reading…)

Went to Camden with a good friend last week for a mooch about. Always enjoy a trip there, mostly for the stall selling the sweet waffles with the chocolate and the cream and the… oh so goooood. Went round a friends the other day, took Xbox pad to play some games. Not a massive selection yet, spent most of the day playing forza 2. Eventually he said we should have a go on “Soul Caliber” I’m pretty bad at beat em ups, but I had a go, and I seemed to be not too bad. (continue reading…)

Oh Noes! The holiday period is over. Despite the event packed holiday, I still managed at least some of the stuff I intended to do… although looking round at the rubble and debris, that’s not always much of a consolation prize
