Here, where’s my freebie?

So apparently, theres a drive to sell cheap refurbished computers to help get everyone in britain access to computers and the web. Great idea.
As part of that package though…. subsidised internet?
Where the hell is my subsidised internet and wireless dongle? Just like with many other state handouts, what people are being given as “basic provisions” for the purposes of survival seems to be overlapping with “luxuries I spend my hard earned cash on” far too often. While the costs are lower in this case, I feel no better reading this than I did watching a bunch of brand new flats get built for social housing through the window of my £400 a month one bed flat…
I probably wouldn’t be wanting to use this service anyway, it’s probably going to be basic and backward beyond belief… but it would be nice if the rest of us at least have the option of this “subsidised internet” too. Some people need basic.
