Get back to doing what I pay you for….

So, theres this bloke. David something or other. He’s the prime minister or something. Anyway, when him and his bunch took over, they made some pretty good moves…… for a while. Oh yes, there were some debatable steps. Making learning latin part of a baccalaureate qualification while systematically eliminating a load of vocational qualifications. Having listened to the reasing behind their decisions, I can fully agree with getting rid of a huge number of vocational courses, such as “horse care”. Nice though these are, they should not be taught to children under the “GCSE” moniker, since unlike other GCSE’s, only a handful of businesses actually want them. All good points, on board with that 100%.
So they instate latin. Latin???
So, anyway, some debatable decisions. But mostly good. Until today.
Today there is THIS!!!!
Private investment in the road system!
No no no no no, there is already the almost unused M6 toll as it is, we don’t need more private roads.
I pay taxes. From these taxes there are certain things I expect. I expect a police service, a fire service, and some high degree of health care. I expect a telecoms infrastructure, and a state postal service that actually works. I also expect roads.
I’ve mentioned why I don’t think I’m getting that with the postal service in the past. I want my taxes to go towards things I actually need and want, rather than have councils fannying about trying to close local sex clubs that are in the middle of nowhere or printing jobcentre leaflets in swahili.
I pay my taxes, I expect roads. If I’m expected to pay to drive on roads, then I don’t really think I want to be paying any taxes thankyou very much.
Now, stop making up new jobs, and get on with the one I pay you for…
